Decentralized industry leader and tech start-up entrepreneur Gregory Gopman has been hired by Ankr to lead its decentralization efforts and establish Ankr as the industry standard. Coinspeaker’s Andy Watson explains in this article how this came about.
Ankr aims to become a major player in the development of Web3 by making it easier for users and developers to build on blockchain, which is at the forefront when it comes to being the backbone of Web3.
Web3 infrastructure and staking platform Ankr has appointed Gregory Gopman as Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer (CMBDO) to accelerate the growth of the platform at a critical time for the blockchain ecosystem.
Gopman, an old DevRel star in web2, has more than 16 years of experience in the marketing industry and has founded multiple successful businesses and organizations. These include VR World, Akash Network, Mewn, and AngelHack. He has also held leadership positions in blockchain and tech companies like Twitter and Etherenity Chain over the past decade.
By appointing Gopman as CMBDO, Ankr will be benefiting not only from the connections that Gopman has built over his years in the tech world but also from his wide experience in the marketing, recruitment, and event organizing industries. The company is currently partaking in ETHDenver, one of the largest and largest running events in the blockchain space, which already represents an opportunity for the new CMBDO to make an impact.
With Ankr having started the year strong by partnering with popular blockchain networks like Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, and Chiliz, Gopman’s mission will be to boost the expansion of the ANKR ecosystem, helping it pave the way to the open internet and economy of the future.
The timing of the appointment is critical for the company as interest in Web3 is reaching an all-time high while taking away top-notch talent from companies like Google and Amazon, names that had often been the most attractive for workers in the tech industry. To many, the move seems just natural as Web3 promises to be the next step in the evolution of the internet, which platforms like Ankr are planning to help shape over the next few years.
While still in the early stages of development, Web3 has gained increasing popularity in the tech space in conjunction with crypto, NFTs, and the metaverse. This has resulted in the promise of an open internet gaining momentum among the dev community, with its members looking to be at the vanguard of what promises to be the most important technological revolution.
Ankr aims to become a major player in the development of Web3 by making it easier for users and developers to build on blockchain, which is at the forefront when it comes to being the backbone of Web3. The decentralized nature of Web 3 promises to return control over applications and personal data to users, while also creating an open internet by removing intermediaries and gatekeepers.
